Five coaches set aside to succeed Leonardo Jardim

Leonardo Jardim officially removed from office, Monaco must seek a successor. FF offers five names, including that of Thierry Henry, regularly quoted in recent hours.

Rui Faria
In Portugal, Goal explains that the former deputy of José Mourinho would be well placed in the short-list of the ASM. A Portuguese to succeed another? And why not. At 43, Rui Faria has a serious bench experience as number two of José Mourinho that he accompanied Porto to Manchester United through Real Madrid, Chelsea or Inter Milan.

Jocelyn Gourvennec

He made his classes in Brittany near Guingamp with the success we know. A recovery in Ligue 1, a victory in the Coupe de France and, therefore, a qualification for the Europa League in which he will reach the 16th. If his adventure in Bordeaux had started well, the crisis in the club was fatal. Gourvennec is discreet in nature and has a style of his own that could match the youth of the Monegasque workforce. Good communicator, coach more and more famous in the hexagon, his profile could stick.

Thierry Henry

His name comes back insistently as soon as a club loses his coach. If his arrival in Bordeaux has finally failed, he could say a big "yes" to AS Monaco. Thierry Henry would not land in unknown territory and already has a legitimacy in the Principality. He was revealed there, becoming a starter very quickly despite his young age and investigating the goals for six years (1993-1999). It is thanks to the Monegasque adventure that "Titi" joined the French team to become world champion. Since his retirement, Henry has never really coached but has a beneficial experience with Belgium, third in the last World Cup. He is currently the assistant of Roberto Martinez, the coach of the Red Devils.

David Trezeguet

He has not coached yet but David Trezeguet has passed his coaching diploma and could very well be on a sideline. Why not at AS Monaco? Like Thierry Henry, he was revealed on the Rock from 1995 to 2000. From his first tenure in the first team at the age of 19, he scored his first goal. Subsequently, he chained the pieces and won the confidence of Aimé Jacquet to become world champion at 20 years. By landing at the ASM, it could bring a breath of fresh air, with new ideas and prove itself as a coach even if the bet seems risky.

Arsène Wenger

Since his departure from Arsenal, Arsène Wenger has not yet found a base. His history with AS Monaco could open again by becoming ASM coach for the second time in his career. The Alsatian was the coach of Monegasques from 1987 to 1994. With a team in reconstruction, his experience and his charisma could make the difference and revive the machine.
